Yep, our skies are soon to be populated with flying drones doing deliveries, cab trips, exploring, tourism and many other fun and cool activities that give us a service that we will never expect from a regular experience; so let's imagine for a second how can we be receiving deliveries thanks to drone use.

Since it popular commercial launch, drones to a wider audience rather than the military… handed the population of the United States a new field of opportunity in the technology category to ponder for profit and improvement, many systems in business have been improved through the established use of drones.

Since the tech is flexible and can fit in many categories of business and services, it didn’t come as a surprise that this project saw the light of day. Workhorse is the way these new designed bots are called, since their function is nevertheless really simple – taking a package from point A to point B – and that’s pretty much it within the realty of a routine, repeating the process over and over like a designated activity.

The company behind it is called UPS, and has the project in development phase. The drone is handed with a delivery route, and once the automobile where is sited gets open, the drone flies to its destination and once it finally arrives then leaves the package at the door and then delivery is done, so it’s time to come back to the original site of its departure.

Delivery tech!

Is an oddity to say that a little aero plane or helicopter will  get to your house and give you a package but that’s how our humanity’s future is working with technology, and there are more people supporting this because there’s always a new way to exploit it for further practical uses rather than just fun as a flying tool for filming or else (common uses of drones).

The design of the drones for this job is a bit different than others since the main function will not be other than just carrying on packages of a certain limit of weight and size of course, then a big piece of tech is not required for the job; they will work in autonomous mode, meaning that they will not be (yet) a smart system involved regarding the activity to accomplish since it’s very linear and does not require involvement with any human excepting the one who decodes and drives the work van that works as a mobile platform for the drone to  departure and land. The drone involvement in this project is an awesome way to break the field of time of delivery and security of the package since in the air there are less issues regarding transporting items because there are less obstacles that the mobile agent could encounter on the road.

Also, since the drone is piloted then human supervision will ensure that all rules are applied to the given service of the delivery. Drone’s flight are safe, and this project might show just another function to their catalogue of profitable activities.
